doomed to cult status or oblivion? one of the things i did for mike that i am most proud of. it has heat management problems, but also magnificence. it got a lot of interest in the beginning, and no marketing at all. it drove mike crazy. i think he hates me because of it.

red amp back
this one started life as a joe roberts “deluxe” clone… i gutted it and put in a 6SJ7 gm amp front end. it’s covered in red ostrich, that joe found somewhere. my cat, mr. miu, “antiqued” it properly. the cabinet was actually built by the seditious bastard himself! and signed! one of my favorite amps of all time.

Ram4
i designed and built these amps for and with dick sequerra in the early 90’s
jc 8451
started out as 845PP class A (40 watts) made originally for eric S. in new york in the early 90’s, these eventually were passed on to phut N…. not sure where they are now. blackie added mods to get them up to 160 Watts class AB2. a crazy amp. this used a fender guitar output transformer as a plate choke for the driver stage. it worked very well.
